Ceremony Ideas

With ACWM, a bride and groom has the option of selecting ceremony music and microphones for their wedding ceremony. It is a separate system from the main reception setup, and allows brides and grooms to handle all music needs with one phone call.

This is a ceremony at Lake Blackshear Golf Resort near Cordele, GA. The wedding coordinator was concerned about the pictures and making sure the DJ was not in them, so the setup was done in a way that gave the DJ full view of the ceremony (for music cueing and microphone use) while allowing for a wide choice of backgrounds for the photographer.

Near the screened area on the left is a small table for the DJ, and one speaker is on the ground. This leaves all of the equipment and the DJ out of camera range, and provides access to power.

This ceremony was conducted using two wireless microphones, the same style that TV news anchors use for their work. Sound, and invisibility, just as requested.

This ceremony setup has the location of the DJ behind the crowd. Out of sight, on the left side of the picture, is the ceremony location. It is down a sloping hill, leaving the DJ tucked out of sight.

A ceremony has zero room for errors. Some items ACWM does to take room for errors to zero:

Microphones for the wedding party are hidden. The groom gets one and the minister gets one. If one goes out, the other will pick up the voices of the minister, the bride, and the groom.

Multiple copies of music are ready in case of media failure.

DJ setup placement is worked out in advance to determine power requirements, speaker/equipment needs, and to leave the DJ out of your ceremony photos.

The system is not the same system that will be used for the reception. That means that the DJ already has backup equipment, and there will be no "down time" for the DJ between the ceremony conclusion and the beginning of the reception, as both systems will be ready before the first guest shows up.
