A Very Harry Potter Wedding
"A Harry Potter Wedding" On this day, good friend and DJ associate Pete Goodrich asked our help for a very unique and special wedding. The bride and groom were getting married in the chapel at Ft. MacPherson, Atlanta, and holding the reception in the clubhouse on the other side of the base. The reception is known as the Harry Potter wedding because the theme of the wedding was based on the Harry Potter books and movies. Follow the guide for the day and see. The pictures are thumbnails of much larger pictures. Click on the picture to see the full sized version. Here is the dance floor, and the setup of the DJ area with lights. Even though this was an afternoon wedding, the area's lighting was easy to work with so the dance floor effects lighting was visible and provided the look the bride wanted. In the above pictures, the whole room is decorated to match the world of Harry Potter. The colors correspond to the four houses of Hogwarts, Harry's school. The banners behind the head table represent each of the houses, and the fifth one represents the whole school. The cake... The welcome table. Upon entering the clubhouse, everyone (even the DJs) received a nametag. On the nametag was the house one was a member of, and the table assignment. In keeping with the theme, the tables were named after a location in Harry Potter's world such as Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, 4 Privet Drive, etc. The afternoon was a fun party, and had an action-packed agenda. There was the presentation of the wands, induction of the bride into the Red Hat Club, a skit performed by many of the bride's friends, and all of the traditional events that take place at a reception!
